Volkswagen Teams Up To Create Fast Charge Corridors for Electric Vehicles!

Last week at the 2015 Washington Auto Show, Volkwagen of America, Inc. (VWoA) announced that it was teaming up with another automaker, and ChargePoint, the largest electric vehicle charging network in North America, to form an initiative to bring more charging stations for electric vehicles along heavily trafficked driving corridors along the East and West coasts. The three are teaming up to demonstrate their support and encouragement of not only electric vehicles, but providing overall more environmentally-friendly vehicles. Keep reading to learn more!

2015 VW Golf and VW Golf GTI Named 2015 North American Car of the Year!

Last week, here at your Chicagoland Volkswagen dealers, Jennings Volkswagen, we were thrilled to learn that our beloved and stylish 2015 VW Golf and 2015 VW Golf GTI had been named the 2015 North American Car of the Year at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS)! Each year the North American Car and Truck of the Year awards are announced at the beginning of media week during the NAIAS, which is held annually in Detroit. For the 2015 awards, a jury of more than 57 jurors from newspapers, television, radio stations, magazines, and websites across the U.S. and Canada examined and evaluated an expansive list of all-new or significantly redesigned cars that were introduced in the last year. After narrowing down the list to three finalists, the 2015 VW Golf and 2015 VW Golf GTI came out on top!

Volkswagen Announces Details of Upcoming 2015 VW Golf R!

Last month, Volkswagen of America, Inc. announced that Volkswagen drivers would be able to pre-order one of the first 500 available 2015 VW Golf R models that will soon be hitting U.S. markets! Volkswagen’s Turbocharged 1.8-liter Engine Named to 2015 Ward’s 10 Best Engines List!

Last month, Volkswagen of America, Inc. (VWoA) was thrilled to learn that the Volkswagen EA888 1.8-liter four-cylinder TSI engine was named to WardsAuto World’s “2015 10 Best Engines” list!
