If you’re looking to buy a new car, but have some
apprehension about the length of the commitment that comes with buying a
vehicle, then leasing might be for you! Leasing allows drivers to get a new
vehicle without outright buying it. With a lease the driver makes monthly
payments for the duration of the lease, and when term of the lease is up, they
return it back to the dealership. Keep reading to learn more about leasing a
vehicle and whether it’s the right car decision for you!
There are multiple times when leasing makes more sense than
buying a car: you’re someone who is on a tight budget, if you tend to not
accrue a lot of mileage throughout the course of the year, and if you’re
someone who likes getting a new car every couple of years. If you’re on a tight
budget, leasing makes sense because the monthly payment tends to be cheaper on
average than when you buy a car. With a lease you also tend to have a smaller
initial down payment. It’s also a great option for those drivers who don’t
drive very much and, therefore, don’t put too much wear and tear on their ride.
Leases have strict agreements on the mileage accruals and the condition of the
car. If you’re someone who wants the latest in-car technologies or the latest
model, leasing is definitely the right choice for you. With the way automotive
technologies are forever evolving, leasing a vehicle means you can stay at the
forefront of all that technology!
And, in case you did not know, the state of Illinois has just
made leasing an even more attractive option for Chicagoland Volkswagen drivers as a new
law went into effect on January 1, 2015. With the new law, state taxes on all
vehicle leases will now be reduced by as much as 50 percent. Known as House Bill
2317, this new law allows drivers to get more car for less money. Customers
will now pay taxes only on the money due at the lease inception and on monthly
lease payments. So head on down to your local Volkswagen dealership, Jennings
