Great! The EPA estimates that the four-cylinder engine will average 22/31 mpg, city and highway, with the automated manual transmission, while those models with the V6 will get slightly less at 17/25 mpg, respectively.

Is it a safe car to drive?

Absolutely! The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not fully tested it, but it scored a four (out of five) star rating in its rollover crash tests.

Does it come with any notable features?

2015 Volkswagen Golf: Back and Better than Ever!

Coming later this summer, the seventh-generation 2015 Volkswagen Golf will be hitting dealerships! It will be available in either two or four door models and with two different powertrains. Keep reading to find out more!

Drivers will be able to choose between the EA388 1.8-liter turbocharged and direct injection four-cylinder engine that makes 170 horsepower and 200 pound-foot of torque. It’ll come mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic, or the EA288 2.0-liter turbocharged and direct injection four-cylinder TDI Clean Diesel engine that produces 150 horsepower and 236 pound-foot of torque. This engine comes paired to a six-speed manual or a six-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission.

It also comes equipped with a slew of standard comfort and electronic features. Electronic features include full power accessories, power side mirrors, air-conditioning, Bluetooth phone connectivity and audio streaming, and iPod integration. The most significant upgrade to previous generation is a new 5.8-inch touch screen infotainment system that offers a navigation system, and smartphone integration. Interior comfort features include premium leatherette seating surfaces, cruise control, VW Car-Net connected services, a leather-wrapped handbrake, shifter knob, and a multifunction steering wheel that includes buttons for cruise and audio controls, and partial power seats. Depending on what trim level is chosen, models can be equipped with heated front seats, a rearview camera, premium audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless access with push-button remote start, ambient lighting, and heated seats.

All models will come with an electronic differential lock on their front axle to improve handling and traction as well as progressive electric power steering that allows for higher effort while cornering and lower effort at parking speeds.

It comes with all the latest safety and interior features. Some of the safety features include all the class standard airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, ventilated front/solid rear disc brakes, emergency brake assist, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control, traction control, and daytime running lights. Interior features include power accessories, power mirrors, heated front seats, cloth upholstery, trip computer, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, air conditioning, 8-speaker sound system, AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo, auxiliary audio input and iPod integration, Sirius XM satellite radio, and Bluetooth connectivity.

So, we decided to put our soft spot for dogs to good use! During the ENTIRE month of May, we will be teaming with the One Tail at A Time rescue organization to raise money for dog adoptions. For every new Volkswagen purchase made or lease signed during the month of May, Jennings Volkswagen will make a donation to One Tail at a Time.

One Tail at a Time is not your normal rescue operation as they rely solely on their network of altruistic households and families to provide a foster home for these pups until their forever homes are found. They operate this way to make sure that each dog is well-loved and treated well while waiting for permanent placement. This method also helps them keep their operational costs down so that all donations can focus on the dogs needing help.
