magazine selects its annual “Best of the Best” vehicle based on numerous
factors including economy, performance, fit, style, design, value, and consumer reviews and statistical data. Dutch Mandel, Publisher, Autoweek, had this to say about why the 2015
VW Golf GTI won:
Featuring Volkswagen’s improved 2.0-liter turbo
four-cylinder engine and a choice of two great gearboxes, the Golf GTI is an approachable,

The 2015 VW Golf GTI comes powered by the VW brand’s
sophisticated EA888 2.0-liter turbocharged and direct-injection TSI four-cylinder
engine. It delivers 210 horsepower and 258 pound-foot of torque. If drivers
choose to opt for the Performance Package that ups the horsepower to 220
horsepower, adds larger brakes, and a torque-sensing electronically controlled
limited-slip differential. The EPA estimates that it will average 25/34 mpg,
