2015 VW Golf and VW Golf GTI Named 2015 North American Car of the Year!

Last week, here at your Chicagoland Volkswagen dealers, Jennings Volkswagen, we were thrilled to learn that our beloved and stylish 2015 VW Golf and 2015 VW Golf GTI had been named the 2015 North American Car of the Year at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS)! Each year the North American Car and Truck of the Year awards are announced at the beginning of media week during the NAIAS, which is held annually in Detroit. For the 2015 awards, a jury of more than 57 jurors from newspapers, television, radio stations, magazines, and websites across the U.S. and Canada examined and evaluated an expansive list of all-new or significantly redesigned cars that were introduced in the last year. After narrowing down the list to three finalists, the 2015 VW Golf and 2015 VW Golf GTI came out on top!

The 2015 VW Golf family consists of four distinct versions that are currently available and two models that will hit markets later this spring. The models that are currently available consist of the sporty Golf GTI, the fun Golf 1.8T, the efficient Golf TDI Clean Diesel, and the all-electric and zero-tailpipe emissions e-Golf! Drivers will also be able to check out the all-wheel drive Golf-R and the TDI Clean Diesel TSI Golf SportWagen, which will both hit markets this spring!
